Basics

The coordinates of PDF, HPGL, DWG, TIFF, and JPEG files often have a significant accuracy error.

This error is mostly created by exporting entities in a raster of 72 dpi (72 dots to 25.4 mm).

Print2CAD features setting to allo the user to calibrate the coordinates of the converted drawing. This Calibration happens in the horizontal and vertical directions.

The calibration of coordinates is based on pattern recognition methods. When calibrating the coordinates, a special feature is used that keeps the horizontal and vertical lines the same after the calibration.

Activation of the coordinate calibration

The user must interact with Print2CAD in order to calibrate the coordinate properly. The internal editor should be used to highlight the target coordinate. This feautre works best if the box covers the target coordinates completely. To understand this process better please watch the training video on our website.

In the drawing below the coordinates limited to either X or Y value.
